Happy New Year from Ty! Howdy friends! 2010 has started so quickly! With a bang! Has it been the same for you? I first want to start by thanking all of my family and friends who I had the pleasure of spending the holidays with, love you guys! It really was a great time just to shut down, regroup and recharge the old batteries before we kick off what I feel is going to be the most exciting year yet! There are so many amazing people who are working the single “Barn on the Rooftop.” It's exciting to start a new year with a fresh slate and know that all of the hard work towards the end of last year has carried over such a positive momentum! As I said the holidays were such a relaxing time, but as soon as the plane landed back in Nashville, it was time to gear up for work. I started the New Year rehearsing for a show we played on Wednesday (January 6) for the 101st Airborne Aviation Brigade Ball at Ft. Campbell, KY. I was joined by fellow Cherry Heart writers Ray Scott and Sara Beck who did such an amazing job performing for the troops. It was such a humbling way to start the new year....performing for these brave men and women and their families just a few weeks before they are deployed overseas. Rondal, Cassandra, Tonya, Ray, Shannon, Bubba, Sara and I were so honored to get to spend the evening with all of the amazing people. Friday night, Rondal and I joined Bobbe Morhiser and Jamie Marshall at the World Line Dance Championships at Opryland. They were teaching the line dance to “Barn” and I tried to get out there with them and learn it. What I learned is that I'm a terrible dancer! LOL! All of the dancers there were incredible though, and it was so cool to watch them perform the dance to the single! I could not be more excited about the possibilities of how great this year can be. A huge thanks to all of the fans, as well as every one of my teammates who have worked endlessly to make this a success. We finished 2009 strong....and 2010 has begun even stronger. Let’s keep it going TOGETHER, ya'll! Thank you for the support, thank you for the faith and I promise to do everything I can to make this year the best one yet. Safe wishes and let’s go get it!
