Ty's Latest Blog Hello friends- Thanks to our great friend and supporter, Mitch English, we recently finished up a quick trip to the "Peanut Capital of the World" -or so they call themselves- in beautiful Dothan, Alabama! It was my first time in Southeastern Alabama. I have to be completely honest, it is easy to fall in love with. We were in town as a guest on the Ann Varnum Show, airing on the CW network. Miss Ann couldn't have been a more incredible woman.
Miss Ann made a few calls after the show on our behalf to the local radio stations. We visited Kris Van Dyke at 95.5 WTVY radio and recorded an interview about the single for later that evening. Kris was so good to help us out on such short notice, and I really became a fan of his and his show!
We then went on over and visited the great people at Kickin' Country 93.7. We went on air and did an interview right away with Wild Bill. He was great to us both on the air, and he introduced us to Big Mike Casey and Carrie Williams as soon as the interview was over. The on air interview was about 15 minutes, but we gladly wound up staying for over an hour just hanging out. It was like finding new family at the family reunion!! The trip to Dothan was so quick but everyone we met was so kind to us, I just can't wait to go back!
Since I’ve been back in town, I’ve geared up on the song writing mode again and getting great feedback from some early supporters at radio! I’m still excited about seeing all of you out on the road...the band IS READY TO GO!!!!!!!!! The Barn on the Rooftop parties continue, new fans find us every day and I am touched by all the support!! I'm taking the change in the weather as a sign that it truly is getting colder and cozier, which means Halloween, Thanksgiving and then Christmas are upon us. I love this time of year! We are also going to keep visiting radio stations, TV outlets and playing shows on the road to keep pushing the first single, “Barn on the Rooftop,” and ride it into the holiday season. I expect that at the rate we are going and the pace at which we keep finding little victories along the way.....we are going to be everywhere in 2010!!! I will keep you posted along the way as to new updates and appearances, they are coming fast. Thank you all again for all of your support, and I hope all of you are safe and doing well.
